2010 WORLD CUP – MEXICO ANNOUNCES 23-MAN ROSTER
20-year-old Barcelona midfielder Jonathon Dos Santos was left off of Mexico’s squad for the World Cup.
Mexico manager Javier Aguirre cut Dos Santos as well as Club America defender Juan Carlos Valenzuela and Morelia defender Adrian Aldrete to trim his side to 23.
“The Mexican Football Federation is grateful to Jonathan Dos Santos, Juan Carlos Valenzuela and Adrian Aldrete for their dedication, discipline, professionalism and commitment shown during the preparations with the national team,” the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol Asociación said in a statement on the official website.
