MLS SUMMER SIGNINGS: Henry Denies Red Bull Move

So sad, no deal yet.

MLS SUMMER SIGNINGS: Henry Denies Red Bull Move

Reports over the weekend that French International Superstar Thierry Henry had all but moved to Major League Soccer’s New York Red Bull may have been a bit premature. Henry denied a move to Red Bull and stated today that his footballing future consists of nothing more than this summers World Cup, and intimated he would put off any decisions regarding his future until after the tournament comes to a close in July.

“For the moment, nothing is certain. I am a Barcelona player and have another year left on my contract”, said Henry.

“Currently, my only worry is preparing for the World Cup with France. I will have time to reflect on my future later.”

Catalan newspaper Sport reported that Henry had signed a ‘Pre-Contract’ with MLS three or so weeks ago. One can only guess what a ‘Pre-Contract’ is, but Henry’s intent to play is not a deal between Major League Soccer and Barcelona, which would have to take place as the Frenchman’s contract still has a year to run.
